As of now, it appears that a release date for Digimon Survive has been set after months of speculation. A leak suggests that the game is set to be released in July, four years after it was first announced.
Exactly when can we expect to see the release of Digimon Survive?
A new release date for Digimon Survive was set for this year after multiple delays. As a result of Ryokutya2089, a notable leaker, we may finally know the actual date of the game’s release. According to Ryokutya2089, Digimon Survive will be released on PC and consoles on July 28th.
When it comes to leaks from Japanese video game publications (like V-Jump, where Digimon Survive was first unveiled in 2018), Ryokutya is one of the most trustworthy sources.
Despite the difficulties, Digimon Survive has made it to the other side. The game was originally scheduled to be released in 2019 but was pushed back to 2020. In October of that year, Digimon Survive producer Kazumasa Habu confirmed that the game would be delayed again, this time until 2021.
Once again, it was pushed back until 2022, but Ryokutya2089 claims that it won’t be pushed back any more, which is wonderful news for Digimon fans.
Where can I find out more about Digimon Survive?
For the first time, Digimon Survive is a visual novel-style RPG/survival combination. You take on the role of Takumu Momotsuka, a camper who is suddenly transferred to a new planet. This is a whole new planet, so you’ll have to cooperate with the other residents as well as the Digimon in order to survive.
As you go through the visual novel, you’ll have to make critical decisions about your relationships with other people and your Digimon companions, which might lead you to lose some of your best friends forever.
If the Ryokutya2089 leak is correct, Digimon Survive will be released on July 28th for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Backwards compatibility is expected to allow you to play the game on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We can only hope that this release date is final, as Digimon fans have been eagerly anticipating it for several years. As always, we’ll keep you updated as soon as we learn more.
